Ancient Egyptian statue made of pink limestone

I have a question that you may possible be able to help with. A friend of
mine has a fine piece of Ancient Egyptian statue that is made of pink
limeStone (http://g603.net) . He has asked me exactly where in Egypt the Stone (http://g603.net) may have
originally come from? He asked me as a geologist, but I am not clued up on
Egyptian geology, all I know is going from north to south there reef
limeStone (http://g603.net) s, then oolitic limeStone (http://g603.net) s (the Pyramids are built of this) greast
sections of the Theban series of limeStone (http://g603.net) s, then shales then sand (http://maplered.com) Stone (http://g603.net) s and (http://maplered.com)
finally Aswan Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s. Anyone help with this one?
